Faith is believing that God will provide for us, and be an ever present help in the times of trouble. I am sure you will agree with me that our American families are in trouble, and we need Divine intervention to mend the broken hearts in our homes. Family violence creates vicious cycles that affect present and future generations.

Domestic violence has become an American nightmare, and a worldwide epidemic. I believe with all of my heart that the bible has the answers for every situation that we will encounter in our lives. God created mankind, therefore He knows what is best for us--in spite of our unbelief.

God’s Word has a lot to say concerning violence and how we should treat one another, especially within our families. If we would only open our minds to the Peace of the Word, and let it in, we would change the world for the better.

The bible also denounces false teaching and preaching. When minds are narrow and hearts are hardened, there is little room for truth and change. The ways of violence have been passed down from generation to generation, and there is no end in sight without true biblical knowledge and repentance.

It is my prayer that the true preachers of God’s Word will stand up and speak out against domestic violence and abuse. This atrocity must be denounced from the pulpit, and eradicated from our churches. Only when the world sees the love that Christians should have for one another will the church be effective. Jesus won the final victory over evil, but due to indifference, the Christian side has many causalities. We must understand that we are at war, a spiritual war. Satan must no longer be viewed as a character in a red suit carrying a pitch fork; he is a real adversary, and he hates all mankind.
