IF YOU THINK YOU ARE SAFE FROM
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AT WORK, YOU ARE MISTAKEN!
"Yvette Cade’s life changed forever on Oct. 10, 2005,
when her estranged husband walked into her workplace, doused her with gasoline and set her on fire."
IS ANYONE LISTENING?
District Court Judge
Richard Palumbo, dismissed a protective order that Yvette Cade had against her husband. He ignored her complaints of intimidation,
and pretty much opened the door for her husband to do whatever he pleased-he wanted her dead. Roger Hargrave, her 33-year
old husband tried to kill her-he went to her workplace and set her on fire. Did this Judge not care that she was threatened?
Do people REALLY listen when someone is crying out for help? Here is a man with much authority to extend protection to this
woman, and he failed her. In the same way, the church is failing abused women, for the church is silent. Judge Palumbo did
nothing to help this woman, and neither does the church as a whole. Shame!
